
BCYF signs MOU with Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation

QUEZON CITY–The Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation (SERDEF) to collaborate on entrepreneurship education and research, especially for social enterprise.
The Memorandum was signed by SERDEF President Dr. Paterno V. Viloria and BCYF Executive Vice President J. Anton Yap.
SERDEF was established as a private institution to build an enterprising culture within the Philippine society by providing training and education, research, consultancy and advocacy services to micro, small and medium enterprises MSME’s, and is based in the University of the Philippines-Diliman in partnership with the UP Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP ISSI).
Chairman Antonio S. Yap was also one of the first members of SERDEF.
Also present during the signing were Dr. Herminia R. Fajardo, Serenidad F. Lavador, Benigno Ricafort, Gloria D. Canela and Myrna R. Co of the SERDEF and Noreen Marian Bautista of the BCYF Institute for Social Enterprise and Development.
